Mike Winger Is Right & Wrong on This
This video is a response to some Mike Winger videos in which he tells his audience he isn't profiting from his series on corruption in the charismatic movement.
Conley and Andrew discuss whether accepting money would compromise these videos—and, if so, what that implies for the videos that are already monetized. They explore why refusing to peddle God's word is not a special precaution reserved for sensitive topics but the ordinary standard for all Christian ministry, what is fundamentally wrong with running ads on ministry content, and why money obtained through an improper means is not made righteous simply by giving it away.
They also take up the familiar defenses (a set salary, revenue going to the ministry, surpluses funding missionaries) and correct the claim that keeping ads on helps YouTube promote your videos, and close on how work like this should be funded: by churches and partners rather than by the recipients of ministry.
